The video game industry's trade group, the Entertainment Software Association, recently released the results of a survey
that show the evolving demographics of video game users. The survey
looked at the age and sex of players and also at parents involvement in
the way that their children buy, rent and play games.

Although not heavily advertised, this week is Internet Week in New York
City. From June 3 through June 10 there are programs, panels and
parties celebrating New York's thriving Internet industry, all for
free. This morning I went to an program very much in my area of

sons last night "Click Critics: The Power of Fan Websites" was very
much an example of how television and radio are now very much entwined
with new media. It was an informative and very entertaining night and
my teenage sons and I truly enjoyed it.
I love the digital video recorder (DVR) that I have with my cable TV subscription. I think it is the best
thing to happen to TV, well, since the addition of cable. I love being
able to pause, rewind and fast foward while watching television,
whether the show was recorded or live. I love being able to start a TV
show about 20 minutes late and fast foward through the commercials. And
