If the middle & lower class don't get some relief, they won't be able to AFFORD Joe the plumber!!! They will let their sink continue to drip, until such time as their water bill becomes burdensome. Then they will have to choose between "Joe the plumber", the water bill, or perhaps their prescription meds. It's time for change...we absolutely NEED Barack Obama!!!
Life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. Ring any bells? To the best of my knowledge, this right is something that applies to ALL Americans. I don’t think the Constitution says, “except for gays and lesbians”. Like most people, you may have a family member who is gay or lesbian or, at the very least, you know someone who is. Why should they be discriminated against when it comes to marriage? Why should they be denied the joy and happiness that comes with marriage?
Let me start by saying that I love my family, the one I was born into. Even though I am the only Democrat in it, I love them all and respect their opinions, although they almost always differ from mine (and my husband's). This is from a transcript from the last presidential debate held tonight, and it's attributed to John McCain: "We need to encourage programs such as Teach for America and Troops to Teachers where people, after having served in the military, can go right to teaching and not have to take these examinations which -- or have the certification that some are required in some states." Does that mean what I think it means? That any soldier coming back from "wherever" can go right into teaching without being tested?
