I heard the phrase "It's Not My Job" so many times when I worked outside of the home. It did not matter where I worked, there was always a time when someone was not a "team player" or did not go above and beyond their normal duties. Now as a Stay-At-Home/Work-At-Home-Mom, I have found myself saying this (well, in my head) to my fellow family members (children specifically), but for different reasons. I have decided to write them down:

This morning, my daughter handed me this poem. It was too sweet, not to share!
My daughter is an over-thinker and it is evident from academic to personal issues. Last night she came down the stairs after her bath with a sad look on her face. When I asked her what was wrong, she began to cry "why does time have to go by so fast? One minute I'm entering the fifth grade and the next I'll be looking for a job. Weekends seem like they last for only half a day."

I can't believe it's been ten years already! Just last week I called you by your old nickname - Babe (short for baby love). You are becoming a sweet young lady before my eyes and it takes my breath away. It is my hope and prayer that as you transition from little girl to young lady that the bonds we share remain as close as they are right now.
