The long anticipated Google Calendar has been started - but of what use can such a service be to you?
A very controversy topic this week was the publication of a new Link TextForrester research study about the use (or not use) of Podcasting. But the comments left in the Net suggest that many have a different point of view.
Did you notice how blogs are getting more and more away from the lingua franca (=English)? The recent top entries of a search engine like Technorati from different languages show trends we should be thrilled and worried about at the same time.
No, this is not a post about the Rolling Stones and the Superbowl, but a catch-up post on what has happened around the topic "Blogging and Social Media" (B&SM) in the last days: A must read interview with Nancy White, model Anina's ultimatum from her agency to stop blogging, the freshest numbers from the blogosphere, communication roles between men and women, if we are friends or fans, if we are allowed to stop memes and how to (not) become a beauty for your husband.
One of the latest meme running around are Frappr maps. Frappr is a free service (add based) which allows you to set a pin on a Google map and show off where you are.
You can either add yourself manually each time you want to, but there is a benefit in registering a user (free) because then it is very easy to add yourself to many maps, change comments you previously made and keep track of the maps you want to.
Many podcasters use this to get a feeling from where their listeners are coming and I started Blogher map because I am curious to see where you are from. :)
Do you have a Frappr map of one of your projects too? Put a link to it in the comments!
Additional link: I wrote a text about how to use Frappr and easily add yourself.
