Bloggers Needed for Bloghaus in May '08

I am on the Advisory Board of the Center for Women's Business Research - http://www.CFWBR.org - I am also the Chair of the Center's Social Media Executive Committee.

They along with IBM, have invested in a research study about women of color entrepreneurs. They have traveled to several cities to understand how women of color across the nation are faring in their businesses and what kind of help they need.

In May of 2008, at the Omni Shoreham Hotel in Washington, DC, they are hosting a symposium with journalists, entrepreneurs and legislators, called, "Research to Roadmap", about the research, the results and what changes need to happen to make it easier for WOC-owned businesses to grow.

More details here: http://www.cfwbr.org/press/details.php?id=206

I had the idea of having a bloghaus at the event - a place for bloggers to blog live about the event on their blogs.

While the organization cannot offer any travel or lodging, there will be free wi-fi (hopefully sponsored by Verizon) and other goodies like exclusive access to research results made available before the event, complimentary admission to the symposium, one-on-one interviews with the participating entrepreneurs (I'm one of them!) and life Q&A blog-style with legislators, among other goodies.

Most bloghaus' are an open-invitation, but because of the nature of what's being offered to event bloggers, this bloghaus is invite only.

If you, or someone you know (preferably a woman although male bloggers are welcome), writes a blog about women of color, women entrepreneurs, legislation affecting entrepreneurs or any similar topic, please drop me a line at contact@xynoMedia.com with the subject line: CfWBR Bloghaus or give me a ring at 914.377.0600.

Please feel free to spread this call for bloggers far and wide.

Thanks for your support!

-Lena
