I need to write more, I know, but I'm a fledgling health and food blogger for Health Kitten. I have an awesome husband and three fluffy kitties....

I'm torn on what to do with blogging here and blogging on my website (healthkitten.com - a.k.a. the blog I sweated and toiled over!). What's the proper protocol:

1) Post here and copy the same content to my blog?

2) Post on my blog and copy an excerpt here with a link back to my blog?

3) Something else?

I've really felt welcomed into the BlogHer community yet I want to get people to read what I write on my own blog (which I do some mobile posting with my WordPress Android app, and honestly I like the UI better) and encouraging readers to participate/comment there.

It's hard to know what the best way to proceed is! Any advice/comments/dopeslaps?

lol I agree with victorias_view and Denise . I post to my own blog, and then I post the same content, here. Often it's the entire post, but because I'm a little uneasy about posting photos of my kids or my home in too many places, I will copy over part of the post with a link to view the rest on my home blog. I do the same if my post contains some, um, overly spicy language (ahem). We don't need too many f-bombs in this friendly community!

The best of all three worlds is very good :)

victorias_view I'm going to do my best! :)

Thinking the exact same thing. I promote my blog a variety of ways and I just wish people would comment on my blog rather than follow up with me via email, facebook or twitter. Having said this, I'm going over right now to your blog! Good luck! Julie

Julie McGuire I checked yours out as well! It's a difficult line to follow - and I don't want to discourage using one over the other. I think I might write specific content for each place, with a link back on each. Maybe...?

I always recommend a combination. Do a little of all three. :-)
