Blogging Virgin Often Qualifies for Senior Discounts

I decided to learn about and begin blogging for a couple of reasons. I need to keep my brain challenged by learning new things.  I want to understand the challenges my daughter is facing as a parent in this constantly changing world where technology has created an entirely different environment for her to be parenting in than what I was faced with raising her and her sister.

My main goal when my 1st granddaughter was born, knowing I would be across the country from her, was to figure out a way for her to KNOW me.  My granddaughters will be raised in a communication overloaded era of cell phones, text messaging, computers, email, Facebook, Twitter and Skype (and God knows what else is coming)!  If maintaining a relationship with them is a priority to me, I better get with the program.  I don’t think they’ll be interested in writing me letters, or just talking on the phone.  So, this is the reason I just gave birth to 21st Century Grandparent.  I’ll share my experiences with other grandparents who are interested in keeping up with what's going on in our grown children and grandchildrens lives.  My hope is that I'll grow and learn from other people's shared experiences.
