Welcome to the BlogHer Conference '06 Newsletter.
Below we talk about our attendee survey, the concept of a BlogHer Conference Swap Meet, and give you a heads up on some details about two different Conference sessions. It's less than four weeks until BlogHer Conference '06, so the news flashes keep on coming.
BlogHer Conference '06 News
Update #1: Take the attendee survey, avoid sitting on the floor.
[img_assist|fid=637|thumb=1|alt=Survey] You may remember, if you attended BlogHer Conference '05, that some rooms got so crowded bloggers were sitting on the floor with laptops truly in laps. We'd like to avoid that this yeaar by doing a brief pre-conference Attendee Survey to find out which sessions you are leaning toward attending. Yes, it's really brief. Yes, every questions is optional. And yes, it really will help with conference planning...and your comfort. So take it right now!!!
Update #2: BlogHer Conference Swap Meet? You tell us.
[img_assist|fid=703|thumb=1|alt=Dollar Signs] We know a lot of BlogHers sell stuff...everything from books to tee-shirts to crafts to jewelry. We've had an idea to facilitate a conference swap meet, so BlogHer can check out each other's wares, and possibly buy them. But we need to know if there's sufficient interest. There's more explanation, and you can leave your thoughts in the comments here.
Update #3: Got a Business Blogging case study?
[img_assist|fid=707|thumb=1|alt=CaseStudies]Have you blogged for your company? Or helped some other company blog? Want to share your wisdom? (Pros and cons; good and bad...all stories are welcome.) Then check out what the BlogHers behind our Business Blog Case Studies session on Day Two are up to, and add your name to the list of those with a case study to share. The first half of the session will be devoted to these case studies from the crowd. The second half to seeing if a set of best and worst practices can be distilled from listening to those real world case studies. Sounds like fun, and you can go to this post to get in on it.
Update #4: Photographers: Bring some prints to BlogHer
[img_assist|fid=677|thumb=1|alt=Heather Champ]Photo Diva Heather Champ wants to help you advance from the pictures you're taking now to the pictures you wish you were taking. Her Photography session on Day One is a must-attend for anyone who wants to start adding more photos to their site, or simply get better at the photography they're already doing. To that end, she's asking everyone to bring 5 photo prints that are representative. If you forget, she'll have some photo printers at the conference. But there will likely be more of you than there are printers and time, so save yourself the wait...print and bring 5 shots for the Digital Photography session on Day One. More info here
The conference is oh, so close, so keep those cards and letters coming...and see you in San Jose!
