UPDATED: Please note that childcare registration will remain open until all spaces are filled. There's still a few open spaces, so we encourage you to sign up asap!

BlogHer is pleased to announce that, following a comprehensive search, we have agreed to partner with KiddieCorp to provide on-site childcare on both Friday and Saturday of the event (July 18 and July 19).

KiddieCorp comes highly recommended, and we're confident that they will offer attendees' children a safe and fun experience.

Thanks to this year's childcare sponsors -- Care.com, LeapFrog, and PBS Parents -- we will again be able to offer childcare at the highly subsidized rate of $50/day per child. Childcare is available from 8 a.m. until 6:30 p.m. both days, and your fee includes meals, snacks and beverages. KiddieCorp's program is open to children aged 3 months to 10 years. And while KiddieCorp cannot be responsible for babies under 3 months, you are welcome to bring your infants to all BlogHer sessions, activities, etc.

Thanks, Kristy and Elisa, for your responses.  I will have a MUCH better time at BlogHer if I don't have to worry about Molly.  And she will have a MUCH better time at KritterKamp, where Betty will let her sleep on the bed.

Since we've made our Westin room block and Thursday is entirely sold out at the Westin, the Kimpton Hotel chain has stepped up with a discount and reservation page just for BlogHers: here ( http://www.kimptonhotels.com/ppclanding/blogher.as... ).

Kimpton Hotels are pet-friendly, I believe.

Parentopia.net/blog ( http://www.parentopia.net/blog )  The American Sociological association had a mtg in San Fran a few years ago and Kiddie Corps provided childcare. The experience was wonderful. I believe they have also been used by the American Academy of  Pediatrics for their national conferences.

As I'm trying to figure out what to do with Molly, the BichonFroodle, while I'm at BlogHer, I'm thinking---too bad there's not dogcare!!!

Alas, I'm not so sure the Westin would be down with it.

Doggie Daycare -- definitely something to put on the radar for '09...
