What a weekend!

You all came out to secure your BlogHer ticket at the early bird rate and wow: You nearly sold us out of the event in its entirety! And when we say "nearly", we mean 100 tickets remain for BlogHer ’10 in New York City this August!

What’s next?

As you may or may not know our conference prices for bloggers are heavily subsidized by our wonderful conference sponsors. We will try to increase sponsorship to allow us to open up more tickets for bloggers. As an example: Last year we sold out in March, created a waitlist and when more sponsors came onboard, we were eventually able to open up 300 more tickets. That is exactly how we will move forward this year. Once we are sold out, we’ll start a waitlist. If and when we get more sponsors, we’ll open up tickets to the wait list.

I'm another BlogHer virgin...and very much looking forward to the conference. I'm volunteering at the Registration Desk, which might give me a head start on putting faces to some of the BlogHers I've read and admired all these years!

Right now we do not have any plans to add more student tickets but it could change. You should subscribe to our conference newsletter ( http://www.blogher.com/sign-bloghers-email-newslet... ) so you are alerted when announcements are made.

I am a poor graduate student, but would really like to attend the conference. Unfortunately, I just found out about it today. Is there any chance that more student tickets will be opened up? Is there a waitlist for student tickets?

Although if you peeked at Denise's chatter/status, you'll see where I took full credit for the big run on tickets.

I figure I'd post here too. If 100 more people see that I'm coming, they'll snap up the rest of those tickets. (Let's just home 200 others don't demand refunds!)

I can't wait. In the meantime, I'm ramping up my community involvement so I can walk in with a tiny swagger and act as if I feel comfortable with all the fabulosity of the BlogHer community.
