While we at BlogHer have always taken steps to green our events, last year was the first year we created a BlogHer Green Team. No, it’s not always easy being green, but it was easier with the help of the volunteer eco-conscious bloggers who helped the BlogHer events team navigate the process. 2009 brought many new challenges for BlogHer -- more sponsors, more attendees, and, thanks to the inaugural Green Team, a greater consciousness of all things green.
Today, we are proud to announce the return of the BlogHer Green Team, and we’re opening up a handful of new positions for BlogHer ’10.
Here’s what we are looking for in a committee member:
- Passion: You do not have to be a "green blogger," but should be passionate and knowledgeable about green issues
- Practical Ideas: Can you tell us not just what isn't green, but also help us find our way to what would be greener?
- Time Commitment: This committee is scheduled to meet by conference call, once a month, for no longer than one hour. That’s a minimum commitment of only four hours. If you choose to lead a project or initiative, you can determine how much extra time you are willing to give toward this great cause!
