I really want to attend Blogher '12.  This would be my first time to attend this or any other convention.  My name is Jackie Cirillo and I am from Houston, Texas.  I am married and have 4 beautiful daugters and 1 awesome son in law.  I blog about savings, discounts, coupons, daily deals, etc. at www.realcouponhousewife.blogspot.com. 

I am very outgoing and love to have fun and want to attend all the sessions, parties and other events.  I would also like to see some of New York City while I am there.  I've been there once before. My mom took me when I graduated from high school, which was (OMG) 30 years ago this year.  Do the math and that pretty much gives my age away.

I do not have a hotel room, as I just recently decided I was up for this adventure.  Now there are not rooms available for all nights at the blocked rate.  I am looking for someone who might want a roommate to share half the expense with.  I am neat and easy to get along with and can pretty much go with the flow of things.  I would like to stay from August 1 to August 5, 2012 or possibly August 6, 2012.

I have a double room at the Hilton from Wednesday, August 1st to Sunday, August 5th.

There I said it, I'm an old lady, at least compared to most of you in this thread. I'm in my forties, married, with two kids, and a non-smoker.  I like to have fun and laugh, but know when it's time to be serious.  

So why aren't I contacting someone else who also posted for a roommate vs posting my own search?  I'll tell you: Plain and simple, greed.  As a Hilton HHonors member with Gold status, if I keep my reservation I get bonus points, free bottles of water, and depending on availability, a free room upgrade.

I am really excited about BlogHer this year. I attended BlogHer 2009, 2010, and 2011. It's one of my favorite social media conferences.  I am happy that it is in NYC because I can travel easily from DC. 

In February, I booked a double room at the Hilton NYC for the evenings of Thursday, August 2, Friday, August 3, and Saturday, August 4.  I plan to arrive in New York City during the early afternoon on Thursday, August 2 and will be checking out and leaving in the morning on Sunday, August 5.  I also plan to attend most of the events and sessions. I am speaking at the Podcasing session. 

I am in search of 1 roommate to share hald of the room expenses from August 2-August 4 with a Sunday AM check out. I ask that the roommate provide her credit card to the front desk when she checks in so that our bill is split in half.  I will be providing mine too.  I don't plan to order room service or add additional items to the room bill.
