The BlogHer ’13 Party Plan: Saturday Night, BlogHer-Style
Welcome to Part 3 of the BlogHer ’13 Party Plan. You can read all about Part 1, and our process for refreshing the Party Plan this year, here: Kicking Off on Thursday, July 25th. And you can read about Part 2 and all the ways you can Express Yourself on Friday July 26th here.
Saturday night closes out the conference, and we are going to close it out in STYLE! Here we take a chance to celebrate what we’ve learned, who we’ve met, and, most of all, celebrate the beautiful, diverse, irreplaceable community that comes together at BlogHer every year.
Saturday night kicks off with the 2nd Annual BlogHer Fashion Show! For those of you who were not at the inaugural fashion show last year, view the video here and get a flavor of what a fashion show can and should be – a celebration of every kind of woman! And this year will be the same, a gathering of women celebrating our unique style…from our Chuck Taylors to our Christian Louboutins.
After the models, drawn from every corner of our community, exit the stage we will all get the chance to strut our stuff, get pampered, and perhaps even buy something we loved on the runway at the Style Spotlight afterparty. Join us, along with guest host and Chicago local, beauty blogger Afrobella, for a not to miss event!
The Fashion Show and its after party will take place at the Chicago Sheraton. Lite fare and beverages will be served, and this is the night for which you’ve been saving those hot dancing shoes!
Saturday night closes out with the the 7th annual CheeseburgHer Party! For those of you who want to attend the after-party after the after-party, CheeseburgHer is your joint. This year we’re going to kick it old school and bring the party back to its roots…the Presidential Suite at the Sheraton!
Led by your friendly hosts with the most, Lindsay Ferrier, Lena Lotsey and Yvonne Valtierra, CheeseburgHer started in a suite and it will come back to a suite – a late night hang for those of you who want to put off closing out your conference experience as long as possible! The traditions will all be there – beds to lounge on, burgers to eat… Oh, who are we kidding? The real tradition is security shutting it down! You can’t miss that, right?
So, there you have it. Three nights. Ten parties. Singing. Dancing. Crafting. Speaking. Sharing. Strutting. Friending. Eating. Chilling. Getting in all kinds of trouble. And liking it. Who’s in?
