UPDATE: BlogHer '13 Venue, Transportation, and Schedules: Simplifying Y/Our Lives!

Hi everyone! Today I have an announcement about a change in where various programming tracks will take place between our two venues (the McCormick Place Convention Center and the Chicago Sheraton Hotel). We hope most of you will be quite happy about this change, and that it will simplify your conference-going life and our conference-planning life! Speakers

Krista Burton is the author of the award-winning humor blog Effing Dykes, which is about activating your lesbian gaydar. She is also a staff writer at Rookie (rookiemag.com) and Beautylish (beautylish.com), and she spends a lot of time thinking about how to help queer youth, testing out beauty products, and cruising the internet for cute pictures of Great Danes.

Roni Noone used her blog, Roni’s Weigh, to shed 70 pounds, start a running habit, get over a fear of weight training, complete her first marathon and run seven Tough Mudders, yes, seven. In 2011, she published her first cookbook based on recipes shared on the popular GreenLiteBites and brought the fourth annual FitBloggin’ conference to Portland, Ore., bringing together new and seasoned health, wellness, fitness and weight-loss bloggers for knowledge, personal growth and networking.

Recognizing the power of blogging, she also started a supportive online community called BlogToLose where more than 6,000 users are blogging to reach their own weight-loss goals.

Roni has represented and consulted for a wide variety of clients in the health and fitness industry including: Kellogg, The Laughing Cow, Liberty Mutual, HumanaVitality, Weight Watchers, Kraft, Vitalicious, Subway, Johns Hopkins University, Quaker, Nutrilite, ALDI and Pom. Beth K. Rosen is a leading edge Social Media strategist whose versatility and expertise in media and the promotional arts allows individuals and companies realize their full potential on Twitter, Facebook as well as through podcasting and blogging. Beth draws upon her vast experience as a radio, film and commercial producer to structure, implement and maintain highly focused and beneficial Social Media campaigns for businesses.  Beth is also a pioneer podcaster. Since 2004, she hosts a weekly podcast that is carried by NBCChicago.com. She is instrumental in applying the podcasting format to her Social Media choices for companies who wish to permeate and inspire the mommy market.

Alex Iwashyna went from an undergraduate degree in political philosophy to an medical degree to a stay-at-home mom, poet, and writer by the age of 30.
She now spends most of her writing time on LateEnough.com, a humor blog, except when it’s serious, about life, parenting, marriage, culture, religion and politics. She has a muse of a husband, two young kids, one puppy, four cats, and a readership that gives her hope for humanity.
