I'm just learning about this now, and my heart goes out to Ashleigh and her family. I just left a comment on Ashleigh's blog, and I hope to hear news of her recovery very soon.

Ashleigh and her family are in my thoughts and prayers! Hopefully there will be a speedy recovery.

I went over to Ashleigh's blog to send her my best wishes and let her and her family know that I am praying for her complete recovery.

It was a very tragic event that could have happened anywhere. I feel more needs to be done in this countryto address the need for better mental health diagnosis, care and follow up supervision.

Tucson is a wonderful place. All of us here in Tucson can talk about that even if we are not comfortable jumping into the whirling vortex of media coverage of the mass murder.

But can't help being pleased and totally unsurprised that an active blogger and BlogHer was out participating in local government. Unthinkable that something like this could happen as a result, of course, but all the same, I found it fitting that she was there.
