BlogHer Original Post
Welcome to our weekly conference update.
Alien, Terminator, The Walking Dead -- all of these words have one common thread: Gale Anne Hurd; and we are thrilled to welcome this award winning producer to keynote on Saturday, July 27 at BlogHer '13 in Chicago.
Here is tidbit from the press release:
Three months ahead of the launch of Season Four of The Walking Dead, Hurd will talk about sustaining creativity and innovation for the long-term, and what it has taken to succeed in the highly competitive (and male-dominated) environment of action entertainment.
Register today and join us for what is sure to be an action-packed conference!
In addition we announced the HealthMinder Day agenda, taking place on Thursday, July 25, the day before BlogHer '13 begins.
HealthMinder Day is dedicated to the needs, concerns, and interests of bloggers in the online health and wellness space. HeathMinder Day provides health and wellness bloggers a day of intimate programming focused exclusively on the topics, issues, and tech that matters most to you. HealthMinder Day is divided into interest-tracks, including:
- Fitness and Nutrition
- Self-Care and Social Health
- Special Needs and Caregiving
You can read Shannon's post for all the details!
*Note: HealthMinder Day requires a separate registration from BlogHer '13.
In addition to the above announcements, we want to share a BlogHer Food '13 interview with Regan Jones and Stephanie Quilao on the topic of Ooey, Gooey, Gorgeous and Healthy Food Photography(they had me at Ooey, Gooey). Here is a snip-it from the interview:
Please share with us one example from your work in which you have taken some *boring,* healthy food and made it look fantastic. Explain to our readers how you achieved that look.
"...anyone who’s ever roasted a vegetable knows that with a little bit of high quality oil, a sprinkling of salt and some serious high heat of the oven to caramelize the natural sugar of the vegetable, even vegetables people shy away from can be transformed into a savory, satisfying and *sexy*." Regan Jones
Finally, for all of our friends in both Massachusetts and Texas, we are with you in spirit and we support you - stay strong!
Until next time...
