BlogHer Conference Update --- April 9, 2010
Happy Friday, everyone -- let's get started:
There are a few things from this week's newsletter that bear repeating:
The Hilton New York has sold out of rooms with two double beds! While they still have rooms with a king bed, we know there are still many of you wanting to share a room -- have no fear, we have secured a small number of rooms at the Sheraton New York Hotel and Towers -- at the same price, $199.00 per night, single and double occupancy. But all good things will come to an end. Secure your room at the Sheraton New York Hotel and Towers today!
PS: The Sheraton is across the street from the Hilton!
Another deadline that's just around the corner is for nominations for Voices of the Year at BlogHer '10. Now is the time to let YOUR voice be heard! Find your favorite posts and submit them ... yes, you may (and in fact are encouraged) to submit your own posts! And here are two little hints about categories with fewer submissions:
-Geeky/Nerdy: If you blog with an absolutely geek-level passion about anything, submit a post to the Geeky/Nerdy category. Yes, we're talking tech, science, education, business and media, but also food, knitting, crafts, art, music. Your thing may be Star Trek conventions or Glee: Just proudly let your geek flag fly!
-Design: A logo, a masthead, an entire blog design. Did you do a little DIY blog design? Did a blogger help you out? Are you one of the many bloggers who have started a cottage industry helping other bloggers look fabulous? Then submit that work in the design category. We want to hear about your experiences and your inspirations.
Other BlogHer '10 news:
-Need to buy or sell a ticket to BlogHer '10? Check out our ticket swap page.
- Bringing your 'lil blogger to BlogHer '10? We have that covered as well -- sign up for onsite childcare today.
And finally, BlogHer Food '10 is sold out! Unlike our annual event, we will not be creating a wait list for this event -- we are at full capacity, and we do not have the space (this year) to expand. However, if you have a ticket to BlogHer Food and need to sell it, or if you want a ticket, we have set up a ticket swap page -- keep an eye on this page, as it could change daily.
Until next time...
