BlogHer Conference Update -- June 11, 2010

BlogHer Original Post

Happy Friday friends! I hope you are enjoying the same lovely weather we are here in Northern California.

Well, the conference is a mere few months away and is shaping up nicely.

We had our first pre-event meet up at Pranna in New York City on Wednesday, June 9. We had a fabulous turnout, and it was so good to see so many friends! Watch for upcoming announcements for more meet-ups.

A few things to bring to your attention:

- There is still time to register for the White House Project co-located at BlogHer'10; the event is on Thursday, Aug. 5. Register today!

- Registration is still open for BlogHer Business. Check it out: This may be a perfect complement to your BlogHer conference experience.

Moving on to the BlogHer'10 Speaker Spotlight -- this week Jes picked a timely session to highlight: How to Start, Engage in and Moderate Civil Political Debate. Considering that many of us voted this week, it makes one think -- can politics be civil? Check out the post and weigh in. Also keep an eye on our speaker page, as we update it regularly.

If you missed our Call for Authors -- now is the time to let us know you would like us to carry your book at our onsite bookstore.

Finally, BlogHer Food '10 is also moving along nicely -- we'll be updating our agenda and speakers page soon. Stay tuned!

Have a great weekend -- we'll catch up again next week.
