BlogHer Conference Update -- October 19, 2012

BlogHer Original Post

As Lori let you know last week, she's on vacation so it's my job to bring you the weekly Conference update! We had an important announcement this week and I have a bunch of other things to remind you about, so let's jump right in!

We put out our Call for Ideas for BlogHer '13 on Wednesday. Through midnight on November 15, you can submit ideas for great panels, speakers or mentors through our submission form to help make the BlogHer '13 conference the best one yet. The post Shannon wrote is full of important information -- information about tracks, important dates, and tips to help your submission stand out. So give it a read and then submit your ideas.

While we're on the topic of BlogHer '13, you have just over two weeks left before the earlybird pricing expires and ticket prices go up! Go ahead and register today to save yourself some money (to spend in Chicago, right!?). After you register, grab a badge to put on your blog and let everyone know you'll be at the conference next July!

Switching gears to BlogHer Food '13, Erin and Melinna were in Austin doing some pre-conference planning -- and eating -- for you. They detailed their adventure for you which may make you want toregister immediately. You can still submit your ideas for conference panels and speakers, but only through October 31st, so don't delay! Reminder: Earlybird registration for BlogHer Food '13 is good until December 31, but don't forget! You can grab a badge if you're going!

In case you missed the big announcement last week, BlogHer PRO takes place on December 13 in San Fransisco. If you've been looking for some inspiration to take your blog to that next level, you don't want to miss this one-day event. Registration is open now! Don't wait too long; this event is limited to 200 attendees.

With the important stuff out of the way, I want to encourage you to participate in our weekly shoe shot with the Events team. Shoes are fun enough on their own, but this way you might get to know a little more about our Events staff before you attend your next conference. If anything, you might recognize someone by their footwear!

Lastly, I encourage you to check out the news about our very first Voices of the Year Anthology which is slated to be ready October 30!

Have a lovely fall weekend! Lori will be back from vacation next week, bringing you all the info you need to know about our conferences!
