BlogHer Original Post
Sorry I missed you last week, I was at BlogHer Handmade in St. Paul, Minnesota and I must say it was so much fun. While I will admit DIY is not my strength, there were some pretty talented people in the bunch.
But I'm here today to share with you something that you cannot miss: BlogHer Writers in NYC!
BlogHer Writers, presented by Penguin, will be a day full of expert insiders discussing publishing, demystifying the trade and providing small group mentoring. You'll learn about publishing 101, going from blog to book and so much more. Check out the agenda, our list of growing speakers and register today.
This intimate event will take place in NYC at the Hilton New York on October 20th and 21st. We are creating a space for 200 aspiring writers to meet role models and mentors, who include publishers, editors, literary agents and successful authors.
Thursday, October 20th, BlogHer & Penguin will host a Welcome Reception, from 6-8PM, at the Hilton New York, preceding the conference.
Friday, October 21st, we will once again gather at the Hilton New York for a day of learning and networking.
- Dedicated networking, with both peers and experts to help attendees build their support system
- Keynotes sessions about what you need to know right now
- Break-out sessions to go more in-depth on key topics: The craft of writing and the business of publishing
We hope you will join us to take your blog, your writing and your talent to the next level.
We have also issued our Call for Volunteers, so submit your request to volunteer and join us in New York in the Fall.
If you are looking for a roommate to help with hotel expenses, check out our BlogHer Writers community forum -- this is a great way to meet new people and save money.
Until next time...
