BlogHer Conferences - - Weekly Update February 1, 2013

BlogHer Original Post

Happy February 1, happy Friday and happy Super Bowl weekend for those of you (us) who are ready for some football fun!

We here at BlogHer headquarters (Niner territory) had a little fun this week with our weekly shoe shot and decided to wear the colors of our favorite football team. Some of us went with the Super Bowl theme and others didn't. Check out Miriam's post to see the football fun!

But enough of those shoe shenanigans and onto some exciting conference news...

BlogHer EntrepreneursAs you may know we are bringing back BlogHer Entrepreneurs for our third consecutive year, and we are thrilled to bring back some amazing women as well. Welcome back to our returning experts, Heidi Roizen and Lila Ibrahim. And in addition to Ms. Roizen and Ms. Ibrahim is Jacqueline Linder of LunchBots. We'll be announcing more mentors as we move forward, but rest assured we'll have an all-star lineup of women mentors ready to provide direction and advice as you move forward with your next big idea!

In addition to our three speakers/mentors listed above, BlogHer co-founder, Elisa Camahort Page and the BlogHer Entrepreneurs conference was recently showcased on HuffingtonPost. The article dives into the specific reasons behind the momentum and need for our entrepreneurs event and how we believe women are benefiting from this event. Read all the amazing details here.

BlogHer Food '13And speaking of interviews, Jenna talked to three of our speakers who will be talking about How and Where to Distribute Your Videos at BlogHer Food '13 in Austin.

This week she asked the question:

How did you learn which platform worked best for your videos? Do you have any funny or important trial and error stories to share with our readers?

Hilah Johnson, Mary Helen Leonard, and Stacie Billis shared their thoughts from trial and error to having the whole process sort of sneaking up on you. Read the full interview here and remember, you need to be a registered attendee to enjoy these information filled sessions.

BlogHer '13And then of course, we are getting more and more excited about BlogHer '13 returning to Chicago. As I mentioned last week, the events team visited Chicago (again) and came back with a renewed sense of excitement. But for now we'll have to tease you with our preliminary agenda, the return of HealthMinder and Pathfinder Days, and the announcement of Viewfinder Day.

Note: All Thursday programming -- HealthMinder, Pathfinder and Viewfinder Days -- require separate registration and have limited capacities.

Register today and join us for our 9th annual conference in Chicago: BlogHer '13!

Until next time...
