Happy Friday, and what a great week!
This week Elisa announced BlogHer Food '10 -- whoo hoo! We have expanded to two full days of programming, sponsors and fun. We will once again be in San Francisco at the historic Palace Hotel, and once again we will take this city by storm. Registration is open and filling up fast, so if you think you may want to join us, register today! For you out-of-town visitors, we do not have a room block at the Palace as we could not get a rate for under $200 a night, but we're working on finding local hotels with affordable rates. Once we have those secured, we'll be posting on our hotel/logistics page for BlogHer Food '10.
Now onto some fun facts about the Palace...
- Theory has it that the chef at the Palace Hotel in 1923 concocted the Green Goddess salad dressing to pay tribute to George Arliss and his play The Green Goddess.
- One of the final scenes in the 1997 movie The Game has Michael Douglas falling through the 80,000-pane stained-glass ceiling.
This week Jes announced our Call for Volunteers for BlogHer '10 in NYC -- and boy, has she received a mountain of submissions! There is still time (until February 15) to apply for a BlogHership.
Badges? Bling? Where are you!?!? We are working on blog bling to coincide with the rebranding of BlogHer. If you haven't read, we are rebranding our site, changing our tag line and in general giving BlogHer a mini-facelift. Check out Lisa's post and read the whys, hows and whens.
