BlogHer Entrepreneurs '12: Day One in Tweets
BlogHer Entrepreneurs kicked off today in Santa Clara, CA and from the sound of your tweets, it was an amazing, informative, fun, inspiring and all around great day. We were following what our attendees were saying -- about specific panels, about that overall feel, when they told someone to turn around so they could wave -- and we brought you just a few from each panel so those of you at home could get a general feel. It's not quite the same, but I'll bet you learn something from these wise tweeters.

To start the day off, Lisa Stone moderated a conversation with Brad Feld, author of Venture Deals. The tweets coming out of this session were both inspiring and informative. I had staved off the jealousy that I wasn’t at the conference until I read a few of these. It sounded amazing.
Then came a session moderated by BlogHer Co-Founder Elisa Camahort Page on "The Deck" with Keith Teare and Wendy Lea. Knowing that this is a big intimidating factor for many entrepreneurs, I kept a keen eye out for what people were saying during this great panel.
The next great panel brought BlogHer Co-Founder Jory Des Jardins as a moderator while Cindy Padnos, Alicia Morga and Shelley Taniguchi-Sabol talked about making the most of networking as well as some other important points about women in business.
The sessions of the day rounded out with another discussion moderated by Lisa Stone, bringing back Brad Feld along with Heidi Roizen and Danielle Naftulin to talk about understanding your value. I think everyone struggles with this, especially those trying to put actual numbers to their business idea. The panelists were, of course, encouraging.
The panel on determining and negotiating valuation is my fav so far! #BlogHerEnt12— Holly Hamann (@HollyHamann) March 23, 2012
a win is not raising $1M, it's raising the right amount, which can be very little. capital-efficiency is often forgotten in SV #BlogHerEnt12— dominique gagnon (@dominiqueAOC) March 22, 2012
Some of the best, most encouraging tweets weren't necessarily about what our panelists said but were instead about the experience of the conference as a whole. If what you've read thus far didn't make you jealous that you were missing out on an inspiring and generally awesome day, these few tweets just might!
it's so refreshing to be around inspired creative people with a drive to succeed #blogherent12— PinQueenCity (@PinQueenCity) March 23, 2012
As much as I love the advice, seeing so many successful women is the BEST example. #BlogHerEnt12— cat lincoln (@DearBadKitty) March 22, 2012
I wanted to include so many more tweets in this post, but it would have been really, really long. You can always check out the #blogherent12 hashtag on twitter to search through more of the conversation these amazing women (and men!) were having today. Both BlogHerEvents and BlogHerCareer were retweeting great stuff as well. Of course, the best part of this post is that the great stuff isn't over! There's another full day of great advice and content coming at you tomorrow, which we'll be bringing you via our liveblogs again. Check out the agenda and join us again tomorrow!
