Speakers

Jory Des Jardins co-founded BlogHer, Inc. in 2005 with Elisa Camahort Page and Lisa Stone, and serves as the company’s President of Strategic Alliances and lead evangelist to top revenue partners. With Jory’s leadership, BlogHer has developed its own distinctive, brand of strategic partnership, helping to facilitate constructive dialogue between some of the world’s major brands and women who are social media leaders and their readers.

Jory frequently gives private presentations and training sessions to Fortune 500 companies and their internal and external strategy teams, bringing community insights and case studies directly to companies and agencies that are navigating the social media space. Leveraging her prior experience in both print and online media, Jory works within brand teams to deconstruct media models and to develop messaging and campaigns that resonate with bloggers, blog readers and brands.

Elise Bauer publishes the popular and award-winning food blog Simply Recipes. Ten years ago, after a twenty year career in technology marketing consulting, Elise created Simply Recipes to keep a record of what she was learning from cooking with her parents. What started as a hobby during the last economic recession has grown to reach over 10 million site visitors a month, and now Elise manages it as her full-time profession. These days Elise spends most of each day cooking, taking photographs of food, and answering reader questions. She knows it's not her life's purpose to be an online Betty Crocker, but that doesn't matter, she's having fun with it. Jaden Hair is a television chef, food columnist and award-winning food blogger at Steamy Kitchen. She is one of the chef stars on this season's Recipe Rehab show on ABC.

You can also watch her cook monthly on Daytime Show, syndicated in 140 markets. Jaden has been a food columnist for Discovery Health, TLC and for The Tampa Tribune. Jaden is a cookbook author of The Steamy Kitchen Cookbook and the Steamy Kitchen's Healthy Asian Favorites.

Law school hopeful by day and snarky blogger by night, Jess Watsky has been snarking on your favorite food products and restaurants for three years on her website, Foodette Reviews. She has recently launched a wine critiquing website, Nobly Rotten, that will focus on exposing amateur wine-lovers to the joys of German, Alsatian, Austrian, and New World Rieslings.

Jess has been featured online at The Huffington Post, BlogHer Food, Gourmet, Foodbeast, CBS Connecticut, and more. She enjoys walks on the beach, candlelit dinners, cruises, and pretending to write everything like a personal ad. She's very excited to share her tips, tricks, and excess snark with you at BlogHer Food '12 and is hoping to meet and connect with some awesome people.
