BlogHer Food '13: Day Two in Tweets

BlogHer Original Post

Day Two of BlogHer Food '13 in Austin has come to a close. It was another busy day full of learning, networking, taking in some of the city and, of course, eating! I gathered up some great tweets, photos and Vine videos to share with you in our post today. As always, it's just one post per session, so be sure to check out the #BlogHerFood hashtag for much more!

Breakfast made mouths water.

A powerful morning keynote discussing food insecurity and childhood obesity moved attendees. The statistics themselves were hard to swallow at times. The good news is that we can do something about it as a community.

Attendees interested in writing a cookbook proposal were schooled in the process.

As we're always on the go, panel attendees of Blog on the Run learned apps to keep them blogging and connecting with readers while out and about.

In the Use It or Lose It! workshop, everyone marveled at the canning techniques.

Before you delete that bad photo, check out the liveblog of the Salvage that Bad Photo session. Attendees learned a lot.

Continuing the inspiration from the morning's keynote, panelists of the Your Brand + Your Causes session encouraged attendees to use their blogs and their influence for good.

Another Video Bootcamp got people inspired to create videos.

Lunch, sponsored by the National Pork Board, was a hit with everyone.

Those looking to learn about crowdsourcing learned a lot in the Tools of the True Change Agent panel.

Taking the next step and turning your blog to a business can be scary. The Scale Your Small Business panel went over all of the stuff you need to know for that next step.

At Brand/Blogger Relations, bloggers were encouraged to be themselves and instructed on how to best approach brands.

Those interested in making sense of all the places you can upload video were taught well at the How and Where to Distribute Your Video panel.

Proving that you can take yummy pics of healthy food, attendees learned some new tips.

Last but not least, a community reading from the new BlogHer anthology, ROOTS. You can read more about the book in Shannon's post. All in all, the keynote was good stuff.

Attendees are now off to the closing party at Stubbs' for great food, good music and a bit of fun! If you missed anything from today or yesterday, be sure to check out the liveblogs. They'll all be up shortly! You can also take a sneak peek at photos from Day One.
