Five Great Whites

When I was a kid, April marked the time to switch out women's accessories. Wearing white shoes/carrying a white handbag or, going way back, wearing white gloves was only acceptable in late spring and until early September. Things aren't as seasonally oriented as they used to be fashion-wise, but I have been getting emails from retailers touting white bags and shoes and I feel like warm weather is right around the corner! Herewith, five great white things: ...more

A little MacGuyver inspired photo shoot

Feels like I haven't I haven't posted all weekend.  Oh wait, I haven't. Sorry wonderful people who read my blog.  I've been working on a little side project that took up most of my free time this weekend.  But today I thought I'd give you a tutorial on how to take some "product shots."  You know, pictures of things like jewelry or food or anything that you want to take  a photo of but you want it to have a white background and to be sitting on a white surface. I learned how to crochet in High School from a friend.  She was able to teach me even though I am left handed....more

Workout Gear to Fancy this Spring

Finally, days are getting longer and, though I hate the feeling of losing an hour, Daylight Savings time (March 13) means that there will be light when working out in the wee hours of the morning. Just enough to make those early bird workouts somewhat less painful. So, if like me, you are looking forward to hitting the pavement instead of the treadmill, we thought that you would enjoy these particular finds:...more

childbirth woes :( and lots of lovelies :)

I had such a busy day today with a prenatal check-up, some shopping (I found a bikini to take to Florida, yay) and then childbirth class, where they told us all about pain meds and c-sections. I really want to try for a natural birth and we have watched so many documentaries on it that we are convinced it is the best option for us and the baby....more

what I wore this weekend - maternity edition

Hey there friends, how was your weekend? We spent most of Saturday driving home from a little getaway, unpacking, doing laundry and all that fun stuff ;) Then on Sunday we went to look at a couple of homes that my brother-in-law and future sister-in-law are possibly wanting to buy, which took longer than expected and we ended up coming home pretty late. Overall a pretty uneventful weekend. Here is what I wore on Sunday....more
