I am an oil painter who lives in Tulsa, OK.  I make my living by painting, teaching painting and hosting travelers in my home.  One of my favorite subjects to paint is the Oklahoma sky.  One can't paint Oklahoma skies forever without including at least one tornado.  We are moving into tornado season this time of year.  This is a tornado that I actually saw ( it was a little further in the distance when I saw it )  We pulled off the road just long enough to snap 2 photos and then high tailed it on out of there.  I have painted its portrait a couple of times...more

Wynwood: New Multicultural Art & Food Mecca in the heart of Miami

Since I moved to Miami more than a year ago, I've been longing to find a more artsy-bohemian-multicultural neighborhood, something beyond the flashy hotels and restaurant chains typical of Miami Beach. One day I was driving my car into Miami downtown, on I-95 South, and a flash of colorful edgy graffiti caught my eye.
