BC Part 3: Stanley Park, Vancouver BC Area

Although I didn't quite make it through most of Stanley Park, mostly around part of the park a couple of times. My map skills are lacking, but too be fair I don't know the area. It's a big place and if you're physically limited, don't try and walk it in a day. Too much for me, although it was nice. The cherry blossoms were starting to bloom, as shown below, some varieties anyhow....more

After a long, looong winter, I've got vacation on the brain! And as I'm sure many of you know, vacationing with small kids is amazing - AND super-challenging.  So what I've decided to do is make a little video-series of my top tips for dealing with all those issues we as parents have to think about when travelling with our littles. Here's a quick rundown of what I've got in the works for you:...more

Vacation/Scouting Trip

So far, so good. There's a lot to do, in a short amount of time. Even with all the hustle and bustle, including my last assignment & a lot of walking, I'm having a good time. It's also so nice to walk around with just an extra sweater, and no coat. That I like so far....more

Friday 5: Vacation Edition

We had a great week at the beach and got home just in time to celebrate the weekend. Perfect timing! Here's to 5 (plus a couple more) happenings from the week worth celebrating. Hope you all had a great week too! Here's to my mom because this picture was her idea. (She had taken the same one of my niece and nephew the week before and wanted one with Vance and Vaughn too. It may look like an easy shot, but a lot of repositioning and laughing took place. Well worth it though!)...more

Surf & Golf Paradise in Macao

Macao is a beach town that offers the best of Punta Cana without the crowds. You won’t have to worry about aggressive vendors, making this an ideal spot for a peaceful day in paradise. Grab something to eat or drink at the beach stands that sell cold beers and local fares, like fresh-caught fish and lobster or dine at a restaurant atop the cliff at the southern end of the beach....more

plans are on the go. About 3 weeks in British Columbia and I can't wait. So it's triple time on getting this course finished or at least up until the final project, which is not due until April 24th. I really do not want to do any school work on vacation, but who knows. Why didn't I wait until the end of April, you may ask? Well I don't want to travel when it's getting too warm, I detest the heat. I don't want to travel when the place will be even busier with tourists. Getting accommodations that I like and that are close to town, will be harder and more expensive....more
