Claire Bidwell Smith's new memoir, The Rules of Inheritance, was released last week to great reviews: Oprah Magazine calls the book "gritty, poetic and illuminating" and Entertainment Weekly has chosen it as one of their books to look forward to in February. Publisher's Weekly says the writing "possesses a blistering power, rendering this youthful memoir an affecting journey into loss," and Barnes & Noble has chosen it for their Discover Great New Writers program for spring.
