Hi!  My name is Carolyn, and I am working with a small children’s publishing company, Pretty Please Press, which publishes children's books that are designed to be read aloud and talked about. To start things off, please let me know if you would be interested in doing a giveaway, and I will send a set of four books for you and your family as well as a set of books for your readers.  The books are designed to be read aloud to children from ages 4 to 9, an older age group than the usual illustrated book audience of 3- to-5 year olds.  The books have entertaining illustrations, challenging vocabulary, and lessons about values aimed at children in kindergarten through third grade.  Our Web site provides free educational downloads including Vocabulary Building Cards, Concept Building Cards, and Character Building Lesson Plans.

Pretty Please Press was created with the idea that reading to children, even those who can read on their own, helps to establish a strong bond and good communication between parents and children.  Many education and parenting experts stress that reading to children is one of the most important things parents can do to give them a lifelong love of reading and learning.  Opening up lines of communication with kids early in life will encourage them to talk to you later, when big “character issues” arise.
