I can't go to BlogHer this year. So when I heard about the opportunity to participate via Second Life, I was thrilled. Mind you, I'd never BEEN to Second Life before, and only heard a little about it. But I REALLY had been looking forward to the conference, so I decided to give it a shot.

It's amazing. Nothing short of amazing. Thanks to kind words from the Queen of Spain (Queen Tureaud) and Vodkarella (Duchess Voom), I'm up and running in Second Life. And not just running. Flying. Gliding. Parachuting. Walking through gardens and art galleries.

And talking to friends. Last night, I met Bon from Crib Chronicles, and we walked around together in the exhibit hall and talked for a while. It was a bit surreal, and yet it felt really natural. Like we were at the real conference together, or maybe just having coffee at the corner coffee shop (sans kids, so we could have a real conversation)!

It was incredible. If you're in Second Life, come on over to the conference! If you're still thinking about it, what are you waiting for? It's awesome.
