Last night, WomenCo attended a small get-together comprised of BlogHer contributors and employees at Cafe Royale in Nob Hill, San Francisco. It was very interesting to meet some of the people I've been seeing around the site on a fairly regular basis; since launching WomenCo, I've been poking around on BlogHer as much as possible, trying to absorb some knowledge about where the female blogging community is headed.

It was encouraging to meet such an intelligent, confident, and friendly group of people; BlogHer has already come a long way, but I am fairly confident that it will be the undeniable leader in female-oriented blogging by the end of 2008. I made it a point to emphasize that WomenCoand Blogher are more of partners than competitors; after all, our focus is on specific career-oriented advice, providing news updates and video feeds, and aggregating things that happen on sites such as BlogHer and WomenForHire.

That being said, I'm preparing to attend as many of the 2008 conferences as possible.

San Francisco is finally starting to feel like home.
