The Marriage of The Entrepreneurial Spirit and Responsibility, brought to you by BlogHer Entrepreneurs Sponsor Liberty Mutual

Last month's BlogHer Entrepreneurs '12 Conference is one that's near and dear to my heart, and to Lisa and Jory's. We know that we could never have sustained building BlogHer over these last seven years without mentorship, without expanding and deepening our networks, and without taking advantage of the many resources and support systems out there for small businesses. We hope this conference helps other entrepreneurs find resources and support....more

BlogHer Conferences Weekly Update - - April 13, 2012

Well friends, it's Friday the 13th. While I am not usually superstitious, I do find that I avoid silly things on this day. You know, ladders, black cats, that sort of thing. Whether or not you are superstitious, I hope you have a great weekend. Oh and remember this is your last weekend before taxes are due, April 17, here in the US. Now on to some conference news... We've announced the International Activists BlogHer Scholarship winners for 2012!...more

Joanne Wilson wears many hats: mentor, mother, world traveler, blogger (Gotham Gal) and wife (to fellow venture capitalist Fred Wilson). We're Still Buzzing About BlogHer Entrepreneurs '12

Yes, we're still buzzing about BlogHer Entrepreneur's 12. I have to admit something though: I totally stole that line from one of our attendees. She tweeted it this past Friday, a week after the conference ended, and I thought it was just perfect for today's post which brings you some great write-ups about the two day event. still buzzing from #BlogHerEnt12...more

Can I Do More Than I Am Currently? A Reflection on BlogHer Entrepreneurs '12

I wasn’t a founder or a CEO, though. I was a secretary, a Director of Operations, a Manager of Direct Sales, sometimes a tall and loud booth bunny at trade shows. Therefore, when I walked into the Citrix building for Day 1 of the BlogHer Entrepreneurs Conference, I was nervous right down to my cells. I could feel even my mitochondria tensing. My ideas don’t make me nervous. I love those, and I am used to living around them. Ideas came, just as I was taught that they would, in my 20s and 30s. What made me nervous is this: how do I figure out how to do what I don’t know how to do? Am I even capable of doing any more than I am currently? ...more

Catherine Courage Writes About the Value of Mentors After BlogHer Entrepreneurs '12

We've been watching posts pop up across the blogosphere as attendees of BlogHer Entrepreneurs '12 share their experiences. She not only wrote about the BlogHer Mentor experience but about her own experience in finding a mentor and building a lasting relationship....more

BlogHer Entrepreneurs '12: What They Tweeted After

Even though we've had the weekend to recover from the awesome that was BlogHer Entrepreneurs '12, I'm still feeling inspired! I think it's because I've been following the post-conference "buzz" that happens in places like twitter and Facebook and your blogs. The inspiration of our attendees must be contagious, because I still want to get out there and "do something," as I tweeted during the conference! That said, we thought we'd round up some of the inspirational, post-conference tweets to give those who couldn't be there a greater idea of what they might find in our liveblogs....more

BlogHer Entrepreneurs '12: Day One in Tweets

BlogHer Entrepreneurs kicked off today in Santa Clara, CA and from the sound of your tweets, it was an amazing, informative, fun, inspiring and all around great day. We were following what our attendees were saying -- about specific panels, about that overall feel, when they told someone to turn around so they could wave -- and we brought you just a few from each panel so those of you at home could get a general feel. It's not quite the same, but I'll bet you learn something from these wise tweeters....more
