My French toast muffin recipe. Putting a spin on ordinary French toast, I decided to make small portable portions for brunch. Regular French toast is made by covering bread with milk and eggs then frying.
This variation will work great for your next breakfast gathering or to enjoy with friends and family. If your family is like ours we enjoy breakfast at any time during the day.
I was so excited to have been involved in a strawberry shortcake recipe contest for so many reasons. First, especially at this time of year I love using fresh berries in recipes and strawberries are a favorite. Also, I love a challenge. Nothing sends me to the kitchen faster than a houseful of teens an ingredient challenge.
In my personal opinion, this was probably the most challenging dish I’ve done so far. Not only was it time-consuming; it was also physically and mentally draining, given the amount of preparations required beforehand as well as the amount of energy expended during the kneading. A while back I had a craving for cinnamon bread. I was thinking of a traditional loaf with yeast and all, but was too lazy to go through the motions necessary for my desired result. Ever been there? Yep. Me, too. Quick bread to the rescue!
As promised, it got better for my daughter, mainly because she pretty much stayed inside all week.The first morning in my beautiful country paradise found me stressed out over technology. Internet service and cell phones can be tricky and I forgot about those limitations. My cell phone service was spotty and I could only get enough bars to receive texts and make calls if I stood on one leg on the last board of the deck, clucked like a chicken and swayed back and forth.
