microfinance my diaper bag!

Dear Google,When I decided to try the AdSense thing that's on the dashboard to "monetize" my blog, you said you'd match me with ads that "fit" my blog. What are you thinking??? Kiva Microfinance?? Of Red Lights, Cell Phones and Kim Kardashian

The universe is a complex and mysterious place.  Sometimes, like when I'm sitting at a red light waiting for it to turn green, I like to ponder it all.  You know, those questions that seem like there is no easy answer.  Things like:Why is it that when I'm in a hurry I hit every single red light?orWhy does my cell phone quit ringing the instant I fish it out of my p...more

I Thought I Was Going to Die

I thought I was going to die. Literally. I don't think I've ever really thought that any other time in my life. I have a fear of heights and an over-active imagination, so there have been lots of times I've been afraid of falling to my death. On a ski lift, for example. Literary Agents and One Night Stands

Hello, ladies, I just joined Blogher and wanted to introduce myself via my favorite post about writing and sending out work to literary agents. Because seeking representation is such a vulnerable and self-exposing act, I wrote a post comparing waiting for an agent to call me back to a one night stand to call back after a night of craziness. It's all very vulnerable.  ...more
