In Defense of the 'Unladylike' Christian Woman

Lady

A few months ago I wrote a couple of blogs about men, women, sex, marriage, masturbation, infidelity and Christianity. They were widely read, my blog stats were happy to report. I received some great feedback, too. And a half-joking guarantee I’d never be invited to speak in church in any of the southernmost states of the U.S.A. How My Children Make Me Pay Attention More During Prayer and Worship

Now we have one that can go anywhere.  Read more >

Putting Wishes in the God Box With Mary Lou Quinlan

The God Box cover

Author Mary Lou Quinlan's mother wrote down her prayers and put them into a God Box. Mary Lou and her brother had no idea how often, though -- when their mother died they found not one, not two but many God Boxes filled with loving wishes for family and friends. I got the chance to talk to Mary Lou about this book and the God Box Project.  Read more >

Black woman in church

[Editor's Note: President Obama's announcement to support gay marriage has a lot of implications among black voters, especially among the religious community which has historically shied away from backing gay rights. BlogHer LaShaun Williams of The L Factor feels the President has turned his back on African American voters in the process. Read on to see why. --Grace]  Read more
