Susan Kang Nam
Susan (Kang) Nam is a Boston/New York-based marketer, executive and educational recruiter. She is exploring new media strategy and marketing consulting work as a researcher for her sister Grace Kang, Founder/Owner of Pink Olive Boutique in East Village Manhattan and Park Slope Brooklyn. She also leads a Career local networking support club called Boston Salty Legs Career Club, which has recently been featured via ABC News Now and GMA with a special nomination from Tory Johnson via her nationwide launch of the ABC News GMA Job Club. Prior to staying at home to take care of her family, her foray into recruiting started at Harvard University at their Center of HR Administration where she spearheaded their efforts as a sourcing unit for the entire Harvard Recruiting Community. She is also in the midst of a conversation to start her own radio show via Recruiter Earth, Career Social Network Ning Community for HR/Recruiters and a featured contributor for the Talentbar HR/Recruiter Community.
Susan is also the Vice President, a member of the Board of Directors for Harvard Club of Andover Inc., where she has been an advocate for utilizing social media usage applications for membership among other responsibilities which include Harvard Admissions Committee interviewer and recently been asked to represent regionally for the club. This past month she has also been invited to be on a task force via her mentor Polly Price, former Chief HR officer at Harvard University, to sit on a committee endorsed by Massachusetts Governor Deval Patrick called "Commonwealth Compact," a project organized by Boston's civic and business leaders committed to concrete steps aimed at reversing that reputation so that Boston is seen as a welcoming, diverse place to live and work for all people.
