Break Out the Kleenex, It's the BlogHer '09 Community Keynote

You'll laugh. You'll cry. You'll laugh and cry. How can you not? It's the return of the BlogHer Community Keynote!

This year, 21 bloggers from our community read their own work, curated by the marvelous Eden Kennedy of Fussy, Let's Panic about Motherhood, and NaBloPoMo.

These amazing bloggers read posts that ranged from the silly to the shattering. Some of them you likely know; some may be new to you. They're all a testament to the breadth and depth of bloggers in the BlogHer community, and we're proud to feature their work.

Below, the bloggers and their posts. Check out the Community Keynote liveblog for insight from Our Women in Chicago and the live Twitterstream, too.

PS: I am NOT kidding about the Kleenex.

My name

July 27, 2009 - 12:11pm

Hey I adored being a part of this. Can't even put it into words how much it meant to me. Can you do me a small favor and take my actual name off of this though. I just use Issa online, not my real name. Thank you.

You can use Issa or Issa's Crazy World, whichever you want. But I blog anonymously.

Done! And sorry about that

July 27, 2009 - 12:33pm

My apologies, Issa.

Thanks so much for your reading. What a moving story. If y'all haven't read her post, Uncle Marky, yet, READ it.

No worries

July 27, 2009 - 12:35pm

Thank you though. Is my issue and I just didn't realize my name would end up anywhere. :)

 Again, thank you.

Thank you!

I had such a blast and was so honored to be a part of the Community Keynote. Getting to meet the other readers and hanging out backstage while each one read was a real treat. My BlogHer experience was awesome; this made it even more so.

One of the many, many delightful things about the keynote

July 27, 2009 - 9:21pm

Was hearing the second cheer from backstage as each finished speaker went back behind the curtain and got applauded by the rest of the speakers.

And your concussion story was PRICELESS.

Thank you . . . again!

July 28, 2009 - 5:58am

Thanks so much. I heard from people in the audience how funny it was to hear that second little burst of applause. The whole thing was so much fun.

The link for number 9 leads to the "You are not invited to read this blog" or something like that.  I would really, really love to "hear" it again.  Please advise...thanks.
