Breast Cancer Awareness Month
During chemo, you're more tired than you've ever been. It's like a cloud passing over the sun, and suddenly you're out. You don't know how you'll answer the door when your groceries are delivered. But you also find that you're stronger than you've ever been. You're clear. Your mortality is at optimal distance, not up so close that it obscures everything else, but close enough to give you depth perception. Previously, it has taken you weeks, months, or years to discover the meaning of an experience. Now it's instantaneous. ~Melissa Bank
I thought this quote was appropriate since Melissa is a Pennsylvania native. The month has already almost passed and I wanted to pay tribute to the brave ones who have survived breast cancer and those who have lost the fight but ended up in a better place. Unfortunately, I know quite a bit of people who have had to live the word cancer. There are so many and I don't want to name them all for fear of forgetting someone or taking away their privacy. So, this is just a tribute to those brave souls I know and those that I do not. God Bless!
