I was going to post about the adventure Karen, Sam and I had on the New York Interstate, however Karen has already beat me to that. What she has to say is perfect - she emotes the feelings we all had perfectly. Despite the FAIL of OnStar at that particular moment, we were very happy to have the onboard phone system to contact the hospital for that poor woman. Karen was so compassionate, so kind to this woman - as I saw her programming the woman's navigational system and then rubbing her back and offering words of encouragement I knew that Karen's kindness runs deep in her soul.
I have never been to a blogging conference and to have Blogher be my first was amazing. The amount of information , Friendship, and Passion was wonderful. I have not felt this powerful and in control of my future since I worked full time before having children. It was a weekend of discoveries mixed with thoughts of future endeavors .
BlogHer Boston - I heart you!!It's been a wonderful whirlwind... and I'm quite sad to say that tomorrow I'll be packing up and leaving. I feel like I've barely gotten to see what's around me in this beautiful part of the country (GAWD the fall leaves are pretty). I've taken very FEW pics... however this has been so fabulous a trip I can't complain!
We decided in the car that it would be fun to make a surprise stop at a Saturn dealership on our way to the conference today. So, we just pushed our handy-dandy On Star button and got directions to the nearest dealership and swung by. We stopped at Satun of Berlin, CT to say hi and have an impromptu photo with the staff there! We posed in front of our super-cool "White Diamond" Saturn Outlook. Thanks so much for taking time out of your day to meet with us, Saturn of Berlin!
We're on the road in our awesome Saturn Outlook. We are having a fantastic trip so far. And, it only took me about an hour and a half until I snorted with laughter!
Tomorrow morning at this time I will be putting my final items in my bag, kissing the lovies goodbye, and heading off to Boston for one of the BlogHer '08 Reach Out Tours! I am going on this exciting road trip with 3 of my fellow bloggers from Chester County Moms! I haven't road tripped with my girlfriends in quite a while, and I am sure that this is going to be a blast! Even more exciting is that we'll be driving to the event in style ....
I was a little leary about participating in the Reach Out Tour because I was just not ready to leave my 4 month old home; and since he's nursing, well, it wasn't really a viable option. I was pleasantly surprised elated when I found out just how accomodating GM was when it was brought up that my infant son would have to come along! Those little people, they sure do have a lot of baggage and having the Saturn Hybrid VUE is going to make the road trip a little more comfortable for us all.
I can't tell you how freaking excited I am to be driving a Saturn Vue Hybrid to BlogHer Boston! Joining me are Amanda from Between the Crosshairs, Sam from Temporarily Me, and Sam's baby, Hudson.
I am so beyond excited to be going to the BlogHer React Out Tour in Boston, but what makes this experience extra special is that GM is giving us (me and 3 of my mommy blogging friends from Chester County Moms) a Saturn Outlook to drive. Can you believe it!
I'm going to Boston!!!! Alright, now that I've screamed a little bit (*shriek*!!), I'll get back to business.I'm going to Boston! This weekend I am attending the BlogHer Outreach Boston '08 with some wonderful Canadian bloggers. As if that wasn't exciting enough, we are also part of the GM Carpool, a lovely arrangement that provides us with a Saturn Vue Hybrid to drive down with. Excited? Um, yeah!
And I have a stinkin' cold! GRRRRRR! So I'm sucking OJ, eating echinacea & zinc, and hoping to feel better fast! However, NOTHING will make me feel less than great about our trip! Hear that cold?
In 4 days I leave for the Boston Reach Out Tour with 3 of my Chester County Blogger friends. I am so excited! We are driving to Boston in a Saturn Outlook courtesy of GM's Blog Her Car Pool. I was so excited when we received the email letting us know we were going to be included in the Car Pool. We all drive mini-vans and pulling up for a fun moms weekend in a mini-van wasn't really the look I had in mind for my big blogger weekend. I am excited we get to arrive in style in a new Saturn Outlook!
