Excited about the 2010 BlogHer conference in fabulous New York City? Here’s your chance to ride in comfort and arrive in style by participating in the BlogHer ’10 carpool sponsored by Chevrolet.
Chevrolet is providing vehicles to BlogHer participants from around the country to travel to the conference in style and comfort. Submit your information below by June 30 and we’ll choose ten teams to be a part of the BlogHer ’10 conference carpool.

Here's how it works:
- Make sure you qualify for a vehicle (see "Requirements" below).
- Carpools must include at least two passengers, and up to six.
- Confirm others in your area who would like to join you. If you don't already have people in mind, you can post a request in the comments section for other bloggers who want to carpool. If you already have a group established, click here to register. We will verify your group against the requirements and follow up with instructions.
- Though not required, we want to hear about your experiences during your road trip to New York in your new Chevy. Tweet updates, write posts for your blog or upload photos to your Facebook page. These are memories not to be forgotten!
- If you've indicated your interest in a vehicle in the comments section, we will try to match you with other nearby bloggers and a vehicle. Once we've verified your group, we will match you with an available vehicle on a first-approved, first-served basis. *Please note: We will do our best to match you up, but we cannot guarantee that we will be able to match everyone due to vehicle availability and location.
Requirements:
- Your group must include at least two BlogHer '10 attendees. Once you have been notified that your group has been approved, all members have 48 hours to complete the registration form for the carpool or you risk forfeiting your reserved vehicle to the next group that applies.
- You must be able to factor in drive time both to and from the conference, as you will be required to drive both ways.
- Vehicle reviews or any other write-ups about the vehicle and your experiences are welcome and encouraged on your blogs. In any posts that you mention the donated vehicle or arranged carpool you must disclose that GM provided you with the vehicle.
FAQs:
Where do we pick up our car?
Once your carpool group has been confirmed and matched with a vehicle, you will be notified and may elect to pick up the vehicle at a GM facility or have the vehicle delivered.
What costs will GM cover?
GM is responsible for any costs relating to the vehicle, including repairs resulting from any malfunction, or malfunctioning parts. GM will provide the first tank of gas. Vehicles will either be given to carpoolers with a full tank or GM will reimburse each group for the first tank. GM will not reimburse lodging expenses, food or additional recreation costs. GM will cover parking costs at the Hilton New York.
Are there specific insurance requirements for participants?
No, there are no special insurance requirements to participate in the BlogHer ’10 carpool.
Do all my group members have to attend the BlogHer ’10 conference?
No. While we encourage you to carpool with other BlogHer ’10 conference participants, only two (2) members of the carpool need to be attending. Non-attendees are invited to participate.
Do I have to be a blogger to participate in the BlogHer ’10 carpool?
Yes, we ask that all participants in the BlogHer ’10 carpool be bloggers. However, two (2) participants of the carpool must be attending the BlogHer ‘10 conference.
