As noble as it may be for Barack to have the passion and drive to want to bring "change" to our great nation, it is in no way fair to the masses of American people who find it absolutely vexing that the prospect of his attaining a position with virtually little-to-no-experience. But due to the "popular vote"this may soon be the choice we have to fix the problems and issues that it takes an experienced and proven leader to fix.

This, however, is not to say that Barack isn't capable of leading, but it must be understood that even though he has managed to capture an audience who are just simply desperate for ANY kind of "change" there ARE MULTITUDES who are NOT in this mind-set...as the changes that need to made are obvious, less-than-complicated, and have nothing to do with color, age nor gender. These, are secondary to thee root. There seems to be no interest by our government nor our voting index as to how critically temporary the "popular vote" is. Very discouraging.

Something 'New & Fresh' is NOT what we need in this country, but to fix the problems we already have by going back to the ways that WORKED, regardless of the century we are in. "New and fresh" is...a hairdo, a new outfit, a new paint job etc. Since when does our nation run on "new and fresh"?? When something works, it works regardless of time and tide passing. When things in Gov't and in society impinge on the those things that work, and that have worked in the past, then properly eliminating these factors, not by force but by simple moral law which CAN be instituted, is our first responsibilty in seeing that our nation is governed accordingly.

Things have not worked properly or successfully in this nation because we are deploringly spoiled, self-serving, and have become morally bankrupt through the ages BECAUSE of our "leaders" and their ideology as to how a nation should be run....as to what is moraly 'right' and wrong....as to what they ALLOW...as to what THEY think that "WE the People" really need and desire. It's atrocious. The seven deadly sins have finally poisoned this nation.

The one's who are offsides to the 'Road to Nowhere" have a better understanding as to what this country needs simply because we have had to put up with it for far too long. More attention should be paid to the general opinion and not to the voice of the desperate. We are a nation divided against itself. And primarily, it is due to the existence of the two 'parties'. Aren't we all suppose to be on the SAME page when it comes to keeping this nation soveriegn, and free from threats that may one day put us in the same category as these other countries who are without their freedom?

However, unless these two parties are replaced with a more sensible means of unity for this nation, we cannot expect anything good for our future. It is also necessary to improvise a more stringent standard for voting by virtue of "knowledge", and not simply because of 'birthright'. We clearly see that the populace of voters in the last several generations have proved to be very indigent in their choices. How long can and will this go on??

Barack's plan to "take from the rich and give to the poor" is not a well thought out process, and is going to create a demon so large for this nation that only God himself will be able to fix it. This is far from the answer to the inequalities in this nation, and a solid foresight is a necessary quality to see that this type of thing does not happen. ALL companies have the 'right' to make a profit, otherwise they would not be in business. It is not for a potential president, or any president for that matter, to decide the fate of a business' profits. That's dictorial. You BOTH should know better than this. Why isn't there an honest soul in that White House that will admit that it is not the oil companies who are responsible for the high price of gas? This is not the true role of our government. Or at least it didn't begin this way. The dumbing down of the American people has not yet affected EVERYONE. Thank God.

To announce "No Pre-conditions" plans to meet with a leader who has such BLATENT disregard for human life,

(smile) No Fuming here. Everyone certainly has a right to their own opinion, however, your reply is in complete contrast to what I posted. In my post, as I stated, was NOT about color, age or gender. For it does not matter to me these things. They are truly petty. Furthermore, I am neither a supporter of either candidate in this race, but am merely voicing my opinion as an extremely concerned citizen. There was no beating of Obama in my post whatsoever. It was to HIS proposed policy and plans that I made my comments. What one considers "unreasonable" I suppose, is a matter of what our standards are.

As far as John McCain is concerned, fighting in a war may not make one eligible to be President, this is true, but he's the only hope we have right now in the war issue. It is easy to expose a person's weakness', isn't it. If all he does is talk about 'war', well, that's because this is what's going on all around the world right now. And with a magnitude. As I said, I am not a supporter of either, but it's sad to see that after 5-1/2 yrs of torture that this man had to endure, and in an attempt to keep US safe, how unnoticed this goes. Who do you really think has a BETTER understanding of who and what's out there ready to harm us?

Foreign Policy IS a key issue that Obama is very obviously not prepared IN or for.No matter how badly some people want change, we must think before we jump on any bandwagon just because we think it is our civic duty.

Who cares how many houses he owns. That's irrelevent to current affairs in this world.

Do you really feel comfortable in knowing that Obama is willing to go (as his wife put it when she appeared on The View as) "bumping fists" with an despicable & evil dictator without any plan or recourse, in the event that he is unable to get Iran's President to behave, like Obama has said???

If John McCain is weak in economics, than WHO have we ever had in the past that made life good for ALL OF US, during their term(s)? If one can be named, then my next question is; Why the big focus on EQUALITY in this Presidential Race by Obama? If we DID have such a thing in the past, then WHAT happened that we no longer have it, and WHY?

A sad story about a burning bar doesn't in any way represent the issues we face today. We ALL bleed the same color. It's our "choices", and not color, that determine these kinds of fates, such as those in that burning bar.

PEACE

:) Thanks for the heads up. I'm glad someone agreed with me for a change. I don't think McCain supporters cares about who they vote for as long as they can win the election.

At the Democratic Convention, Barack Obama passionately reinstated the ideals this country was built on: individual rights, freedom, and happiness. He wants to equally and ethically provide this to everyone in America. The fact that he is black has nothing to do with his capability and vision as our President. He is an INDIVIDUAL! We need to stop stereotyping and living by societal norms, because I'm sure the smart people in America have noticed that they are absurd and outdated. Like Barack said, times are changing, and we need to change with them. We need to focus on what really matters, and that is not the war in the Middle East! It's our economy, and the health, safety, happiness, and education of our people. It's peace from within! Now someone please try to argue how the hell we are going to do that with McCain as our President!!

It seems unreasonable to me that most people keep insisting that the man have no experience. On the night of the Democratic Convention I don't know if you saw flashing across CNN's screen that the youngest person to be nominated to become a president of the UNITED STATES WAS BILL CLINTON! He was 45 YEARS OLD. BARACK OBAMA IS 47. Not because someone fought in the war doesn't make that person experienced when it comes to the issues in America. John McCain is weak on the economy if you take your way from the situation a wee bit and listen to him when he talks there is no passion, all he talks about is the War, War, War, nothing else.

Okay, by now you are fuming with me because I believe that Barack Obama will lead this country to prosperity because he as passion, sincerity and he worked with inner city people helping them with grassroot issues. McCain don't even know what it feels like to not have food on the table, to be worried about paying the mortgage---Why would I have belief in someone who can't even remember how many houses he owns.

Okay here is true story I heard several years ago and I want everyone to stop and listen for awhile:

"There were many people in a bar one night and the place was just hopping with excitement, suddently out of no where a fire started in the back room next to the washrooms, smoke began to pour into the lounge area where the bar was there was a man sitting on stool drinking he had way too much to drink and was barely coherent. People began to panic, the drunk guy got up and slurred, "Heeey, fooolow me Iiiiii can get out of here...." No one paid him any mind, suddenly another guy came up and said follow me I know how to get out----by then they could barely see in front of them. The guy took off to the where he thought the exit was but it was the wrong way it was too late. The drunk guy got out safely. The next day he went by to see what happened and began telling his story. Do you know what colour he was? He was a Black man drunk as ever that night and every one refuse to follow him that night and of course you guess the man they followed to their death was white.

The message here is listen to your gut, pay attention and don't assume that because a person might not be the public standard of what is acceptable especially because  of colour--it's only pigment, that doesn't mean they don't have good intentions or they don't know what they are talking about.

What surprises me about race is when we are all sick and in pain we go to the hospital and we couldn't care less who looks after us, Black, White, Purple, Green, Ugly, Old, doesn't matter we want to get better and we better listen to the nurse or the doctor yet one good man come around in centuries and even people of colour fight him and beat him down by saying he has no experience its not right and it shouldn't happen.
