Changing Blog Name?

I have mentioned it before but I don't like the title or name of my blog. I am not very creative when it comes to stuff like this.

I finally came up with a name I like and feel covers all the different stuff I talk about on my blog. I discuss mainly my family but also adoption, books, work, my faith, and other stuff.

The problem I have is the .com to the name I want is taken. It was up for renewal this month. I stalked the domain name for 48 hours hoping the owner would not renew but alas, they did. I can't find the actual name being used online either. The .net is still available though.

As part of the name change, I want to get the domain and switch to WordPress. I am not in a super rush but have been pondering this decision for a long time.

So I am asking for advice and help! Is a .net really okay? I mean I know it isn't as good as .com but I don't want to ask some guy in London to sell me the .com. Ok, I'm scared to ask some guy in London to sell it to me.

The name I want to use is ...... The Stuff of Life

So what do you think?Elizabeth

I've used an even stranger one (.ws) for years. It used to be something of a problem, but now-a-days, most links come through Twitter and people don't even see the URL.

I've got a .net and I'm ok with that. Granted, I don't use my blog to make money or anything like that.

I wouldn't necessarily discount a .net if you really really don't want to change the newly chosen title before you've had a chance to use it. ;-)

I think whatever you go with will be great!

Where were you when I needed a blog name 3 years ago?

Sassymonkey suggested It's the Stuff of Life as a name instead.

Any of these will work. @TW likes my current blog name. It just has never appealed to me very much. I am more confident in myself now.

Lots of thinking to do!

But if the domain taken maybe try something else...How about
- The Treasure Chest of Life
- One Chapter at a Time - My Hodge Podge
- Texasbeth Holding Down the Ranch
- The Life of Treasures

Just some ideas..But if you really want Stuff of Life. Contact the gentleman in London - you never know until you ask :)
