My newscast just said its also World Giraffe Day , http://www.worldgiraffeday.org/ , and the SF Zoo is having events around it.
How cool is that!?!? I got up early, but I would have missed out, if you hadn't brought it to my attention. Thanks for the heads up! Way, up! :)
: I'm going to an asexuality un-conference tomorrow. Is anyone aware what an unconference is? Wondering if its a known thing.

Wow...very neat, Cathy. Looked it up. Worth sharing. I'm for unconferences. "So...what's an UnConference? An unconference is an event where the participants set the agenda. When the day begins we will have a big, blank agenda. Anyone will be able to discuss topics that they would like the Ace community to discuss, from gender in the ace community to sexual allies to aces in popular media.  You don't need to have anything prepared to lead a session. Just have a topic that you are interested in facilitating a discussion around.  However, all rooms do come equipped with projectors and laptop hookups for anyone who would like to bring in any visuals."
We had an unconference at BlogHer 07? I think it was 07. I really liked it and wish we could do another one.
BlogHer! Always on the cutting edge. Been there, done that...eh, Denise!?!? :) Well, I think it's a GREAT idea as well. Let's ask the biggies. All of our minds, working together, unchained, unleashed, thundering forward in a wave of cosmic energy to an unforeseen conclusion...OMGoodness...I'm overwhelmed by the mere thought. *exhausted* Going to take a nap...
Was an OK unconference.   I think I was the only person who was over 30 at this conference (I'm 53).  I did like interacting with the youngsters but I rather missed getting to talk to my peers.
: I bet I'd be making more progress on my to do list if it wasn't in my bedroom.
: Hell. My coffee is all of the way in the kitchen. I'm so tired. I don't want to go all of that way. (A whopping ten steps.)

I'm too tired to finish reading this....
: I should probably eat lunch.

I had cold pizza and read a chapter of the Lauren Willig book that's not the Pink Carnation series but feels like the Pink Carnation series except with art instead of spies.
Denise I do believe a Vaughn makes an appearance in that book.
Karen Ballum Yep!

Ooooh, so sorry, Laurel.
I'm so sorry. I know how hard that is.
So sorry.
I'm so sorry. She really did have a very pretty face.
Oh, Laurel! What sad news. So sorry. I am aware of how difficult such transitions can be. Pets are such angelic little beings. They give so much and ask little in return. I have enjoyed Grisabella through your words and photos. I am sure she is adjusting well to her new space and time. I think passing over is always more difficult for those left behind. Much Love, Fondly, Robin
TheBlackTortoise Thank you.
Denise Thanks, Denise.

cdrdash That's pretty warm for your part of the world. How's the humidity?
Denise cdrdash 21% humidity so dry heat.
91º here in Washington, D.C. today. Feeling it. Feeling it. Let's not even bring up dry heat...83% humidity here.

No, but its fun to think about what I would do differently in a do-over.
cdrdash It is indeed. :)
