no, this one was off Ashly Phos[ate,rd near Rivers. The nieghborhood should tell you something...
I would tell her to make sure that she got one that plugged in, had a long cord, and not waste her money on batteries!
When I was 13 I found my mother's vibrator in a drawer in her room. I didn't know what it was for then, and I can't remember if I asked her about it or not. I sell the exact same one, which is beyond weird!
You know...now that I think of it...I'm pretty sure I took my mother into a sex shop in Montreal. Maybe? I think? Clearly if I did it was not traumatic (unless it was so traumatic that I can't remember, hmmm...).
I'm going to ask a new but similar question - new chatter post - hang on one second.... http://www.blogher.com/chatters/denise/82050
Y'all are funny. Scary, but funny. I can't see my mother ever asking my advice about sex toys but if she did, I'd give her the same type of advice I give everyone and would be happy to discuss the different variations.
I would take her one of the nice shops (like "Lotions and Lace") and tell her that the sales-women are very helpful. Then I would hurry to the nearest Coffee Hole for a quad.
I nearly had a cow when I thought I lost her in Costco, only to find her standing in the persona hygiene aisle oogling a case of Trojans. I just don't think I can go there with her. And yeah, I'm kinda okay about that.
umm.. how about developing selective hearing?
My mom has seriously NEVER mentioned sex to me. Ummmm, I am thirty-five and have two kids. I'd fall over if she jumped to sex toys!!
Erin, you mean you didn't say you'd take her on a personal tour of Good Vibrations in San Francisco? tsk tsk
tsk tsk Erin, you're going to trust your mother's sex life to internet strangers who just want to make money?
I'd hand her my computer, open to a website with toys, and tell her I didn't ever want to talk about it again.
Gak! Gawk!

SAngel that may be the Cross County rd store. And yes, that tells me a lot. I grew up in that neighborhood. Literally. Cross County splits Dorchester from Ashley Phosphate. I lived in Hunley Park as a wee thing and moved to Pepperhill in 2nd grade, lived there til I moved out. ;-)
