Cheat, Break-up, Stay Stong.

Cheating, so many different meanings to so many different people. Why do I think that a flirty text is cheating, yet my girlfriends see no problem with it? These blurry lines can cause a lot of heart-ache especially when it comes to the ONE you are going to marry

As you all know, I work in the wedding industry. I see people every day focus on the wedding, not the marriage ... it's a hard thing to watch sometimes. The wedding still has to happen, and the planning is fun, but what comes after can throw a lot of couples off. This brings me to cheating and the many ways it can ruin a marriage. I've heard many crazy stories (I have to admit, mostly from the grooms) about what is considered cheating and what isn't. Here are a few of the more outrageous things I've heard...

1. It isn't cheating until you are engaged. A girlfriend is just a girlfriend, no ring no commitment.

2. The Bachelor party is my night to be single again. The last time I can do what ever I want without being committed.

3. What my friends plan for my Bachelor party is not my fault.

Call me old fashioned, but as soon you say boyfriend / girlfriend commitment starts. No excuses.

TheRingBearer Hello Gentlemen

So let's blur the lines some more ... when is something considered cheating? Here is my SIMPLE take on it. To me, cheating is ANYTHING YOU WILL NOT DO IN FRONT OF ME. If you will flirt with a girl, get her number, take her on a date and seal the deal with a kiss all right before my eyes, than cheating means something VERY different to you, and we won't work.

On we see distressed brides and grooms asking what is cheating and what to do about it. Take a look at a recent posts about cheating on our forums.

"This is anonymous right? I hope so! I know my fiancé’s account is linked to my account but I think usernames don’t show up in each other's account... Well anyways, we've been planning our wedding for a while. He proposed and I was happy.

A guy from work, who I see everyday asked me out after we accidentally kissed at a club that we accidentally met in. Now, that's all I think about. I just feel guilty for leading him on...but I just don’t know if I should tell my fiancé. It was an accident and I was drunk. Everything in the wedding is almost finalized. And I love him with all my heart. WHAT SHOULD I DO!?"
