Did you know that there's a Canadian BlogHer's Group? There is indeed thanks to Her Bad Mother. I had some fun this afternoon clicking through member profiles and checking out Canadian member's blogs. Here's a random selection of what Canadian BlogHer's are talking about on their personal blogs.

I am not a parent (nor do I know if I ever want to be one) but I must confess that I love mommyblogs. Sure, sometimes they scare the pants off me and yeah, sometimes there's a lot of poop talk but you also get some really great posts on Parenting with a capital "P". Like this post by Emma W, who blogs at Where There's A Willer, There's a Way, where she wonders what's "good enough"?

I guess I sort of thought we were getting away with it, really, this sort of 'lazy parenting'. I see other people making really informed choices about their parenting styles (whether or not I agree with them, they’ve made a choice and they are sticking to it) and wonder if I am doing my kids a disservice. What is good enough? What is too much? Did anyone worry about this stuff before our generation??

Vanessa, aka Last Nights Leftovers has a blog called, Last Night's Leftovers! I love that name! We live on leftovers around here. And she has an entire category called Food Snobbery. She's a blogger after my own heart. Her post about finding yogurt with real ingredients completely made me laugh. You see, I've been eating that exact same brand for years and one night at the grocery store I was debating its merits versus another (cheaper) lower-fat brand with Lee that ended with me exclaiming a smidge too loudly, "I can read all the ingredients and we're buying it, dammit!" Funnily enough the other people who had been shopping near us back away slowly (and Lee no longer debates yogurt brands with me).

Just.act.natural blogs at Dreams and Schemes. Just finishing the winter semester she reminds me that I enjoy April, even with the seasonal allergies, much more now that my school days are behind me. I can think of many more pleasant ways to spend the weekend than with Saturday exams.

Not only does it just seem cruel, but I have to take extra time off work and give up some much needed money to write these exams. I actually approached my academic advisor and asked, just out of curiosity, if I could get the exams deferred because if I couldn’t get time off work. Do you know what the college’s response was? No. There is no ‘must defer exams so I can go to work so I can pay my rent and continue having somewhere to keep my shit’ clause.

Along a similar vein, Olga, aka piratecakes blogs at Glory Fades and has written a public service announcement for new grads.

Like I said, take your time. Weigh your options. Make a pros and cons list. I bet moving into the city and working in your first office is an attractive idea, especially after years of shitty retail and service jobs and course reading. Take it from me—it can wait. You don’t want to go into your first career tired.

Is your BlogHer profile up-to-date? Does it link back to your blog? If you are having trouble updating your profile check out the Using This Site or you can go ask BlogHer's Community Manager Denise questions in the BlogHer Beginners Group (and get some good tips if you are a BlogHer veteran).

Contributing Editor Sassymonkey also blogs at Sassymonkey and Sassymonkey Reads.

Of why everyone should update their BlogHer profile. It would have been so much harder to find you otherwise!
