Chick Talk Dallas

BlogHer Original Post

Chick Talk Dallas started over an argument I had with a former editor who disagreed with my use of the term ‘bridezilla’. He didn’t know what it meant and didn’t see a need to include it in a story about dozens of brides-to-be grabbing dresses, shouting, “I said no tulle!” and otherwise causing very unladylike mayhem at a local bridal venue. Not to hate on the men folk but Chick Talk isn’t limited to the pages of glossy girl mags or the life styles sections of newspapers. I want to create a place where ordinary (and extraordinary) women in and around Dallas County (and guests) come to meet, greet, speak, share, comment, disagree, laugh and do what women do. It’s a site for women to discuss issues important to us. Real Women. Real Discussion.
This is the place to share stories, interviews and the life triumphs of women you should know about. The content and discussion is generated from the greater Dallas community of women writers and bloggers and you can participate. Send a blog item, newstip or story idea, leave a comment and, hey, buy some merchandise while you’re at it. Help support us. Spread the word sisters!
