The third person killed by Monday’s bombing at the Boston Marathon has been identified as Chinese graduate student Lu Lingzi, who was studying statistics at Boston University.
I was going to write about eight-year old Martin Richards or 29-year old Krystle Campbell. But much has been said about their precious short lives already. Today, I want to shed light on Lu, whom not too many people know about. She has no family in the states to hold a press conference or start a foundation in her name. But the young woman from China had a blog on the Sina Weibo site and leaves behind friends in Boston’s college community.
Lu’s friends took to social media in an attempt to locate her after the bombing, a search we now know came to a tragic ending.

I don't know how much more we'll learn about Lingzi. We may never see see photos or anecdotes about her childhood, but I'm glad to have at least a glimpse into her life that was cut too short.
