Chocolate Caliente

One of my most cherished teenage memory, is having late night snacks with my mom. We would sit around the kitchen counter late at night (by her standard) and talk and eat some delicious concoction that she had made. There are a couple of favorites in her repertoire, and maybe some day I will get adventurous and share them. Right now, though, I am dreaming of "arepitas" and "chocolate caliente". "What is that?" "Arepitas": are this small drops of heaven made out of cornmeal and fried and "Chocolate Caliente" is my mom's version of hot chocolate (and also the Spanish words for it). I have never been able make the first, but I sure do know how to make Chocolate Caliente and now Mini Girl and I have started the "late night snack" tradition...
